Abstract

Developing English Speaking Supplementary Materials Integrated With Edmodo at English Education Study Program in Jambi University Lubis, Kirana Kartika Tri. Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Jambi University June, 2017 kiratika8@gmail.com Abstract This study is aimed to Developing English Speaking Supplementary Materials Integrated with Edmodo at English Education Study Program in University of Jambi. The study used a research and development design. The researcher used interview guidance in analyzing the students’ need as the earlier data and followed by questionnaire and document to collect more data and information in advance. The participants of this study were the third semester students in university of Jambi. In designing the material, the researcher conducted some steps proposed by ADDIE model. They are analyzing, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Yet, the researcher did not conduct the implementation step because the researcher only focused on designing and develop the materials. In evaluation the material, the researcher with some experts, discussing some mistakes which is need revising and to make better material. Based on the comments and suggestions given by the experts, it can be summarized as following; (1) add the model of our own culture in the materials, (2) add some facilitation for students such as video, and online dictionary. In conclusion, after validation the English speaking Material could be used by the English teacher of third semester students in university Jambi. Moreover, the researcher hopes to the further researcher could implement this Supplementary material in order to investigate the result and make it become the final product of the speaking supplementary material. The further researcher even could develop the learning materials based on this speaking Supplementary material.
