Abstract

Keywords: Learning Media, Comic Science, Respiratory System Problems in the world of education is the lack of learning media that can attract students to learn especially in Science subjects. Therefore, the need for a media attachment that can be used in elementary schools. Thus, this research is aimed to develop Contextual based science comics media on learning of class V breathing system in Elementary School and can obtain valid and practical comic media. This type of research is development research with quantitative approach oriented to product development. The development model used is the ADDIE development model. Instruments used are intruments validity and intrumen practicality. The data analysis yielded some findings which were the following conclusions: Firstly, using the ADDIE development model was produced by the media in the form of Science comics on the learning of the elementary school V breathing system. Second, the comic produced is valid in terms of media and material with percentage of 91.25% and 83.8% respectively. Third, the comic media Science developed is stated very practical with the percentage of teacher response 87,5% and student response 88,5%. Based on the results of the study suggested that the next researchers can design the comic media on different subjects to produce better comic media and can facilitate students understand the lesson. It is also hoped that further researchers can use more sample test from various sources of experts, both lecturers, teachers of study, education experts and students. Then, it is expected to be able to test the effectiveness and feasibility to obtain a comic media that is valid, practical and efficient.
