Abstract

Abstract This study is aimed to develop Poodle-based Grammar I media for English students in Jambi University. The study used a research and development design. The researcher used interview guidance in analyzing the students’ need as the prelimenary data and followed by questionnaire and document to collect more data and information in advance. The participants of this study were the first semester students in Jambi University. This research used Borg & Gall model. They were need analysis, planning, developing, testing and revision. In usability testing. The researcher evaluating the material by inviting two experts which are the material and media expert, based on the comments and suggestions given by two experts, it can be summarized as the following; (1) add some materials in each topics, and use the examples based on the context that students understanding or based on students environment, (2) modify the picture, text and material, so as not to be monotonous and to be as attractive as possible in order to motivate students in learning Grammar I. This poodle is simple to use, it does not need internet connection to access, because it is ofline moodle and it can also be copy-paste to flashdisk and CD. Moreover, the researcher hopes to the further researcher can implement this prototype supplementary media for Grammar and make it become the final product of supplementary English Grammar media.
