Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a physical chemistry II learning media on phase equilibria. The developed media was interactive learning CD of phase equilibria. In this research, Akker and Plomp development method was adopted, which has been conducted on the early development of interactive learning CD of phase equilibria. Designing of interactive learning CD of phase equilibria uses Delphi 7 program as a main program supported by other programs such as Microsoft Word, acrobat reader, windows live movie maker and windows media player. Prototype I of interactive learning CD of phase equilibria has been validated by chemistry and multimedia experts. The results showed that quality of prototype I of interactive learning CD of phase equilibria is good based on validation results from chemistry experts with a mean score of 4.16 and while based on validation results of multimedia experts is very good with a mean score of 4.31. Validation results showed that the prototype I could be applied to the students in classroom after some revision from chemistry and multimedia experts. The prototype II is a revised version of prototype I, from which its content and display are better, in accordance with recent curriculum, the rules and elements of education.
