Abstract

Chemical equilibrium is one of the important subject in Physical Chemistry II course which is mandatory by undergraduate students at Study Program of Chemistry Education, Faculty of Education, University of Jambi. Many students are less enthusiastic and no interested to learn it, which is characterized by low student creativity and communication skill as well as their learning outcomes unsatisfactory. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a learning model that can help students learn and understand the Chemical Equilibrium concepts independently, thus providing flexibility for students. Developed learning model is a learning model based on character education. This learning development model consist of the development of Chemical Equilibrium learning tools based on character education at Higher Education in Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Education, University of Jambi. Implementation of Chemical Equilibrium learning use a model based on character education is very successful. Therefore, Chemical Equilibrium learning has to apply this model. This learning model, able to explore the ability of individual students and increases the attractiveness, so it can generate motivation for students in enhancing creativity, communication skill, achievement and learning outcome. Keywords: Chemical Equilibrium, learning model, character education
