Abstract
ABSTRACT Pratama, Reza (2019). The investigation of sixth semester English students’ perspective on the relationship between procrastination and GPA, Universitas Jambi. Thesis, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Jambi University in Academic Year, 2018/2019. First supervisor, Dr Fortunasari S.S., M.A and the second supervisor Bunga Ayu Wulandari, S.Pd., MEIL., Ph.D Key words: Procrastination and GPA. This study was aimed to analyze the students’ perspective on the relationship between procrastination and GPA as well as procrastination factors. The participants of this study were students from one English study program at Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at one public university in Jambi. The study involved 8 participants in English department. This study used qualitative method. The results of this study indicated that procrastination indeed brings bad effects to students’ GPA. Most participants agreed that procrastination can cause low GPA. This study also revealed that the factors of procrastination are caused by internal and external factors.
