Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Jambi University in Academic Year 2016/2017.Advisors:(I) Drs.Saharudin,M.Ed.,M.App.Sc.Ph.D (II) Dedy Kurniawan,SS,MA Keywords : Simple Past Tense, Android, Mobile Learning. Innovation in education is ne essay for the development of education through regenerating curriculum development. The technology advance id growing rapidly. One of them is using software to create media for learning by using android system. Android is one of the operational systems that support learning program on mobile devices and make media learning. The study was aimed at producing a prototype of video base animation on android application in learning simple past tense at second grader. The method in this research used the Borg and Gall development model (1996). The stages of Borg and Gall model were started from analyzing student needs in simple past tense, determining the schedule development, developing the team-development and product specification, designing the supplementary media, developing supplementary media based on student needs, validating and improving video based animation and the last was trialing the video based animation and analyzing data obtained from validators and participants. Testing and feasibility of has been created obtain from media validator. From the result of the student implementation in small group obtain 88% with “strongly agree” category. In conclusion, the researcher hopes to the further researcher can implement this prototype video based animation in order to examine the result and make it become the final product of video based animation in learning simple past tense.
