Abstract
This research was aimed to design flash-based multimedia of vocabulary learning of fifth graders of SDN 47 Kota Jambi . The participants of this research were fifth graders of SDN 47 Kota Jambi. There were two groups, small group which consisted of 3 students and big group which consisted six students. The design of this research was Research and Development by following Lee and Owens (2004) model of multimedia development. The steps were Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative method. The data of this research were collected by using observation sheet, questionnaire, interview and validation sheet. Observation sheet and questionnaire were used in order to collect the data of the analysis. Interview was used in order to collect the data from the participants’ response. Validation sheet was used in order to validate the media which is eligible to produce or not. There were 3 aspects of the interview, aspect of using, aspect of interest and aspect of difficulty. Based on the result of the interview, the result of small group showed that the multimedia was eligible to be continued to big group trials that most of the students gave positive feedback to the questions of interview and the result of big group showed that mostly they gave positive feedback.
