Abstract
This research is based on the fact that in the subject matter of material change, there are still many students of VD SDN 47 / IV class of Jambi City who do not understand the material, it seems that there are still students only follow the learning according to the direction of the teacher but the students do not understand what they have Learn, students have not been able to re-develop the knowledge gained, students also have not been able to decipher the material with its own language. This is due to lack of precisely teachers in applying the learning model in accordance with the purpose of learning in delivering learning materials.This classroom action research aims to improve students' learning comprehension about the change of the object using Learning Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Model in VD SDN 47 / IV jambi.This study is a classroom action research (PTK) consisting of three cycles, where the data taken is in the form of observation data through a student learning comprehension sheet. The research was conducted in 4 stages: planning, implementation, observation and reflection.The results of this study indicate the application of Learning Model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) can improve students' understanding of learning material changes in the form of objects. Based on the observation sheet of students' learning comprehension on preliminary observation before being given the learning comprehension action of the students about the change of shape only 43,75% and after the action in cycle I seen improvement of student learning comprehension about the change of the object become 56.26%, then in cycle II Increased again to 78.13% and in the third cycle increased again to 87.5%.Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model can improve students' learning comprehension in VD SDN 47 / IV class of Jambi City which is expected to improve student learning comprehension, students can develop their knowledge widely, Students can describe the material in their own language, the students have been able to follow the learning according to what they have learned without the guidance of teachers with the application of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model.
