Abstract

ABSTRAK This research is based on the fact that in learning the subtheme, let's love the environment, there are still many students of grade IV C SDN 47 / IV Kota Jambi who do not understand the material, it looks like students tend to be lazy to understand the purpose of the questions given by teachers, students Only follow the learning processions from the teacher's direction but the students do not understand what the students have learned, the lack of student activity during the lesson, the teacher is less able to apply the learning model, while the teacher explains the many student's material that is not paying attention, and some students who do not complete the task Given the teacher. This classroom action research aims to improve students' learning comprehension through Model Team Games Tournaments (TGT) model in fourth grade students C SDN 47 / IV Kota Jambi.The research method used in this research is classroom action research (PTK). This action consists of three cycles. Technique of data retrieval done by observation of teacher and student at the process of teaching and learning activity progress and documentation that is in the form of photo. The research was conducted in 4 stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.The results of this study show that teachers can understand and apply Learning Model Team Games Tournaments can improve students' learning comprehension. After doing action in cycle I seen improvement of understanding of student learning equal to 53,36%, then in cycle II increased to 70,14% and at cycle III rose again to 80,73%. From the three cycles above the increase from cycle I to cycle II mengalamani increase of 16.78%, while in cycle II to cycle III of 10.59%.Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the use of learning model teams games tournament (TGT) can improve the understanding of students' learning grade IV C SDN 47 / IV Kota Jambi.
