Abstract

Petroleum mined lands is a critical area that is usually not cultivated because land is very low fertility level so that the land is to be abandoned; therefore rehabilitation program of this land is required. One of the alternatives to overcome this problem is through inoculation with Arbuscular Mycorrhiza Fungi (AMF). Indigenous AMF (from Petroleum mined land) is more potential AMF developing in that area. Therefore, isolation and identification steps of AMF spores and characterize of this land are required. The purpose of this experiment is to isolate and identify AMF and characterize Quarry land from petroleum. The results showed that characteristics of soil properties mined oil from Muaro Jambi is weight volume greater than 1.70 g/cm3, a smaller field of Water from 20% and low availability of some macro elements. Fe solubility is as high as 23.02 ppm, the content of HAP compounds most widely is 1,2-dimethyl Benzene 57.68%. The study had identified that at this soil was found 2 AMF genuses i.e. Glomus and Acaulospora. Type of AMF in petroleum mined lands from Muaro Jambi has a different type, which is obtained by nine species CMA (five types of Glomus and Acaulospora four types) and is dominated by the genus Glomus.
