Abstract

The purpose of the study is to investigate how the students perceive the use of Edmodo as a virtual learning tool. The data were gathered through questionnaires involving 93 sixth-semester students of English Study Program of Jambi University. Participants were asked to answer the questions on the questionnaire which consist of 46 items in total. The type of the questions was close question. After doing the research the data were analyzed by calculating students’ responses to find means score and its interpretation. The result of this study shows that the students perceive the use of Edmodo as virtual learning tool highly positive with the overall mean score was 4.48. The students perceived that all three aspects including measurements and academic achievements, mobile communication and information access in Edmodo as very high. On the other hand, the students' perceived that the limitation of use of Edmodo as virtual learning tool as very low with overall mean 1.66. It implied that the students almost did not have any difficulty on using Edmodo as virtual learning
