Abstract

Alwini, Syafira. 2020. An Analysis of Teachers’ Strategies in Teaching Writing Based on 2013 Curriculum for Third Graders of Junior High School in Kota Jambi. Thesis. English Education Study Program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Jambi University in Academic Year 2020/2021. The first supervisor is Eddy Haryanto, M.Sc.Ed., M.PP., Ph.D. The second supervisor is Melati, S.Pd., M.CC. Keywords: An Analysis of Teachers’ Strategies, Teaching Writing, Curriculum 2013, Teaching-Learning Process. The purposes of this research were to know the problems in teaching writing and to know the teachers’ strategies in teaching writing based on 2013 curriculum for third graders at SMP Negeri 16 kota Jambi. The method of the research was qualitative research method. The objective of this study is to know the teachers’ problems and strategies in teaching writing based on 2013 curriculum for third graders of junior high school. Researchers collected the data by using interview. The data was collected in March 2020 and September 2020 with English teacher of third grade. The interview involved the English teachers. The researcher shows that the teachers’ problems and strategies in teaching writing based on 2013 curriculum.
