Abstract

Saputri, Andini 2020. Students Perceptions towards the Implementation of Teacher’s Written Feedback among 11th Grades Students at One of Senior High School in Jambi. Thesis of English study program. Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Jambi University. First supervisor: Nely Arif, S.Pd. M.Pd and second supervisor: Nunung Fajaryani, S.Pd. M.Pd Key words: Perceptions, Implementation, Written feedback, This research is aimed to describe at students’ perceptions towards the implementations of teacher’s written feedback among 11th grades students. The respondents of this study were 11th grades students with nineteen students in one class. This research belongs to descriptive qualitative study. The researceher used two instruments to gather data from respondents: (1) Questionnaire, (2) Interview. The data analysis technique is the process of data arrangement and data categorization. The result of descriptive analysis show that teacher’s mostly gave feedback in both two, written feedback and oral feedback. Based on the two research question, it was discovered that (1) the students prefer written feedback and oral feedback (2) teacher’s written feedback was effective (3) the students never had negative effect of the teacher’s written feedback (4) the teacher often gives feedback to the students (5) teacher’s written feedback did not distrube the process of writing (6) teacher’s written feedback could increase students’ motivations (7) teacher’s written feedback was encouraging.
