Key Words: Extensive Reading, Student’s Reading Habit This Study was design to know about EFL student’s behavior toward Extensive Reading activity at 4th semester of Jambi University. The theory of reading habit based Nilsen (2012) defines habit as ―Habit is behavior that has been repeated until it has become more less automatic, enacted without purposeful thinking, largely without any sense of awareness. The research was 5-9 march 2020. The data of the research was collected by using questionnaire adapted from Erna Iftianti (2012), consist of 14 items, 6 components about amount of extensive reading practice, 4 component about type of text to read with Extensive reading, 4 components about students belief toward extensive reading. After questionnaires were collected from students, the data were analyzed by using SPSS for Windows versi 23 and Microsoft Exel 2003. This research was survey with 4th semester students at Jambi University as the population. The sample became respondents in this research were 71 students, which is 26 students from 001 class, 23 students from 002 class and 22 students from 003 class. The result of this research is to know the students’ reading habits toward extensive reading activity outside reading class activity at 4th semester of English study program and teaching education at Jambi University.
