Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is aimed to explore the incorporation of entrepreneurship concepts in courses in multimedia development stream from both lecturers’ and students’ perspective. The focus is to find out lecturers’ approach, strategies, methods, as well as problems and challenges in implementing entrepreneurship concept in multimedia development stream. In addition, students’ perception of this implementation will also be explored. This research was conducted in the 7th semester students and the lecturer who teaches CMS course of English Study Program at Jambi University. The data was gathered from the interview. The result of the study shows that the qualitative data revealed that the method use by the lecturer to incorporate entrepreneurship concepts in teaching courses in multimedia development stream, in this case Project Based Learning, liked by all students. However, there is also a disadvantage of implementing this method, that is, the large number group member. Another result is The introduction of Entrepreneurial –Oriented Elective Streams is still not optimal. This research also found that there were constraint faced by lecturerrs and students, but there were also some benefits that have been obtained by students after completing this CMS course.
