Abstract
PENGGUNAAN MEDIA GAMBAR PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA MATERI SUMBER DAYA ALAM KELAS IV SDN 182/I HUTAN LINDUNG Frandarnas Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Universitas Jambi ABSTRAK Media and learning methods are two very important elements in a teaching and learning process, because these two aspects are interrelated. Selection of one particular teaching method will affect the appropriate type of instructional media. One of the main functions of instructional media is as a teaching tool that also motivates, influences climate, condition, and learning environment arranged and created by teacher. This study aims to describe the use of image media on science learning material of natural resources class IV SDN 182 / I Hutan Lindung. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The informant of this research is the fourth grade teacher of SDN 182 / I Hutan Lindung. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction measures, data displays, and conclusions. The results of this study is the image is one of the media that can be utilized in the learning. The medium can be a good tool if a teacher can know how to use it. The image media is chosen by the teacher in order to make it easier for students to understand the material to be submitted. In addition, by using images, teachers can more easily in delivering learning materials. The criteria that need to be considered by the teacher in the use of image media is the criteria of image selection and image media utilization step. It was concluded that the use of image media conducted by teachers in the process of science learning natural resources materials in primary schools can train and provide opportunities for students to develop process skills and can train students to be able to think and act rationally and critically on issues that are Scientific in its environment. The skills given to the students as much as possible adjusted to the level of development of the age and characteristics of students, so that students can apply it in their daily life.
