Abstract
The effort of fertilizing on oil palm at farmers’ land has to consider many factors. Two of them have to considered are the amount of nutrients uptaken by plant and the availability of nutrients in the soil. The purpose of this research was to see the effect of fertilizing based on production potential of fruit fresh bunches on the weight of fruit fresh bunches of oil palm. The experiment was carried out at a farmer’s land in Muara Kumpeh, Muaro Jambi, Jambi for 3 months. The treatments were arranged in randomized completely design consisting of (a). Control/without fertilizer, (b). Cow manure 20 ton ha-1, (c). NPK fertilizer 15:15:15, (d). 0,294 kg N, 0,0048 kg P and 0, 378 kg K, (e). 0,392 kg N, 0,064 kg P and 0,504 kg K, (f). 0,490 kg N. 0,080 kg P and 0,630 kg K, (g). 0,588 kg N, 0,096 kg P and 0,756 kg K. The result of study showed that the highest weight of fruit fresh bunches of oil palm was achieved by application of 0,588 kg N, 0,096 kg P and 0,756 kg K.
