Abstract

Interlanguage has been one of the key issues in foreign language learning. It emerges every time a foreign language learner learns a foreign language. This seems to be unavoidable since learning a language requires a process from L I toL2. More elaborately, the more gaps a leamer has between Ll and LL,the more effort he needs to improve his language proficiency. On the contrary, the narrower gaps a learner has between L 1 andLZ, the less efflort he needs to improve his language proficiency. This paper tries to describe the process of interlanguage a learner experiences as the attempts to reach the better level of languageproficiency, causes ofinterlanguage andthe influence ofl,l to themastery ofL2. Keywords: Interlanguage,Ll,Lz,foreign language
