Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyzepalm oil industryclusters in Jambi Province. Thisstudy isa collective case study (survey and case study). The result shows that JambiProvince has a considerable potential for the development ofpalm oil industry. It can beseen from the development of plantation area, production ofPalm Fresh Fruit Bunches,Crude Palm Oil,Palm Kernel Oil, and Palm Oil Mill. However,there are still verylimited downstream products of palm oilthat can be produced. Based on SWOTanalysis, it shows thatbeside having large opportunities,Jambi Province alsofaceswithvarious obstacles and threats on the way to developpalm oil industry.Keywords: Industry cluster,palm oil industry, SWOT analysis
