Abstract
ABSTRACTThis study aims to explore the implementation of discovery learning models that are appropriate for teaching chemical equilibrium materials assisted by virtual laboratories. The virtual laboratory used is a laboratory that had been developed the previous year. This type of research is classroom action research of three cycles, each cycle of one meeting (150 minutes). Each meeting consists of 4 stages (action planning, action implementation, action observation and reflection on action. During the action some observers observe the lecturer and student activities at the end of the evaluation cycle.The results of the study, obtained the activities of lecturers cycle 1, cycle 2 and cycle 3 respectively 65.6%, 78.1% and 90.6%. While student activities were 50%, 75% and 92.2% respectively. The completeness of class cycle 1, cycle 2, and cycle 3 was 59.3%, 78.1% and 84.3%, the average learning outcomes of cycle 1, cycle 2 and cycle 3 were 55.8%, 73.5% and 88.2%.From the research that hasbeen done, it can be concluded that there is an increase in lecturer activity, student activity, percentage of class completeness and average results.
