Abstract
ABSTRACT Background: Diarrhea is a leading cause of child pain and mortality in the developing countries. Many factors can cause diarrhea in children. The purpose of this research is to know the description and factors causing diarrhea in children at Puskesmas Tanjung Pinang Kota Jambi in 2019. Method : Type of this research is quantitative in the Puskesmas Tanjung Pinang Jambi on July 2019 by using consecutive sampling of 31 samples and bacteria test in the laboratory. Result: The results showed that the incidence of diarrhea in children was 10.6%. Samples of child routine faeces were found Eschericchia coli 66.7% and 12.9% Rotavirus. The most sensitive antibiotic is Meropenem and the resistant is Clindamicin. All crested are eligible. Using PAM 38.7% and 80.6% cooking water to drink. Child nutrition status is good 67.7%. The frequency of children with the age 0-12 most months is 54.8%,Conclusion:Incidence of diarrhea 10.6% with microbial causes Escherichia coli, children aged 0-12 months, most resistant antibiotic is clindamycin and sensitive is Meropenem, drinking water sources generally PAM, personal hygiene is generally not good.
