Abstract

Analysis about the development of biology teacher’s Performance assessment towards practicum activities at SMA Negeri in Batanghari regency Novi Indah Suryati1), Afreni Hamidah2), Retni S. Budiarti2) 1) Students of the Department of Biology Education PMIPA FKIP Jambi University 2) Department of Biology Education Lecturers PMIPA FKIP Jambi University Lecturer Email: 1)indah.novi52@yahoo.com By: Novi Indah Suryati Abstract.Biology lesson is a vehicle to improve the knowledge and responsibility surrounding them, one condition for biology subject is practicum activities. To achieve the purpose and competition of practicum activities it self, one of way is performance assessment. performance assessment was process of collecting the data by systematic analysis to deliver the individual’s decision. This research aimed to analyze the development of teacher’s performance assessment towards the student’s of practicum activities at SMA Negeri in Batanghari regency. This research included of descriptive qualitative research. The subject in this research is Biology teacher X and XI IPA at SMA Negeri 1 and 2 Batanghari regency. The researcher’s analyzing include of: indicator work, rubric performance and the way of assessment. This data was obtained from observation checklist, questionnaire, sejawat assessment, and documentation. Based on this research about Analyzing of development biologycal teacher’s Performance assessment towards practicum activities at SMA Negeri in Batanghari regency. The entire percentage found a good category for SMA Negeri 1 (69,5%) and not good for SMA Negeri 2 (48, 4%). To sum up, based on the result, Biology teacher at SMA Negeri 1 and 2 have made a performance assessment on practicum activity,even the performance assessment was not been complete yet. Biology teacher does not make the clear performance assessment toward their student. Moreever, the teacher does prepare their clear suspension yet. The writer hopes that Biology need to understand how importance the performance assessment of practicum activities with follow’s seminars training. This sugestion can improve the purpose and competency based on education curriculum. Key words : Analysis, performance assessment, Biological practicum
