Abstract

THE INVENTORY OF SEA FISH BASED OF FISHING CATCH IN SUNGAI ITIK VILLAGE SADU DISTRICT TANJUNG JABUNG TIMUR REGENCY Arif Sadika1), Tedjo Sukmono1), Bambang Hariyadi 1) Program Studi Biologi FKIP Universitas Jambi, Jl.Jambi Muara Bulian KM 15 Mendalo Darat, Jambi. e-mail: arifsadika204@gmail.com ABSTRACT This study aims to obtain data on the diversity and abundance of fish species in the Itik River Village Sadu District East of Tanjung Jabung. The research is Explorative descriptive using purposive sampling methods. Sampling is done by joining the fishermen along the fishing lane. The sampling location in this study is divided into 4 lines by using fishing gear: sero, bubu, trawl (trawling), drifting nets drift and scoop net. The fish samples were taken from the catch of fishermen, the samples taken and then washed and documented. The identification process was performed by measuring the morphomethric of 10 characters and the meristics observed by 4 characters, as well as comparing specimens with identification books and online www.fishbase.org data. The study was conducted from November 2016 to February 2017. The results showed that most of the fish species were from Perciformes Order which reached 48%, the number of fish found on Line 1: 27 species, Line 2: 37 species, Line 3: 21 species and on line 4 as many as 14 species. The conclusion of this research showed that the diversity of fish that are found 13 ordo, 36 family, 42 genus, and 50 species. The dominancy of fish that have highest total are 17,43% duri kuning (Arius venosus), 14,76% Seriding (Ambassis gymnocephalus), 13,33% Bagok (Netuma thalassina) and 12,76% duri putih (Hexanematichthys sagor). The lowest dominancy of fish is Lizard Shark (Chilosyllium arabicum) yaitu 0,06%. For further research it is advisable to conduct research on the weather conditions of the east monsoon, to know the types of fish that have not been found in this study.
