Abstract
This study aims at elaborating teachers’ Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) for online teaching and learning by EFL Junior high school teachers in Jambi city. Focus in this study were the implementation of TPACK framework in EFL teachers in English online teaching and learning. This study was designed as a descriptive qualitative study where data was gathered and analyzed in descriptive way. Participants of this study were 4 English teachers currently teaching in one of public junior high school in Jambi City. Data of this study was collected through face-to-face interviews guided by an interview guideline. Analysis of data followed these steps: transcribing, analyzing and coding the interview recorded. Six factors of TPACK were reported in this study. The result showed that all EFL teachers lack on their content knowledge (CK) in their listening skill capability, but on their pedagogical knowledge (PK) and technological pedagogical knowledge (TPK) they could match the appropriate methodology in their online learning and learning the learning process in the classroom. All EFL teacher could operate various of online learning platform on their technological knowledge (TK). Another result showed there was one teacher implemented both of synchronous and asynchronous learning, the others participants only focus on asynchronous for their technological content knowledge (TCK). Last, all participant could developing of learners’ skill through varieties online learning platform and observing learners’ progress on online learning for the factor of teachers’ technological pedagogical and content knowledge (TPACK). It is recommended EFL junior high school teachers practice their listening capability more often and teachers should learn the virtual learning with synchronous learning in online learning.
