Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan daun Torbangun (Coleus amboinicus lour) yang di proteksi tanin dari ekstrak batang pisang terhadap mastisis kambing Peranakan Etawah (PE). Penelitian menggunakan 16 kambing PE bulan laktasi kedua dan ketiga. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok, 4 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok. Perlakuan penelitian yaitu P0 = hijauan + konsentrat, P1 = P0 + 0,5 % daun Torbangun yang diproteksi tanin dari ekstrak batang pisang, P2 = P0 + 1 % daun Torbangun yang diproteksi tanin dari ekstrak batang pisang, P3 = P0 + 1,5% daun Torbangun yang diproteksi tanin dari ekstrak batang pisang. Peubah yang diamati adalah SCC (Somatic Cell Count), jumlah bakteri, CMT (California mastitis test) dan pH. Analisis data menggunakan Anova jika berpengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda duncan. Hasil menunjukan bahwa penambahan daun Torbangun yang diproteksi tanin dari ekstrak batang pisang berpengaruh tidak nyata (P > 0,05) terhadap jumlah SCC, jumlah bakteri, CMT, dan pH susu. Rataan SCC 6,05 x 103 ± 0,96 x 103 sel/ml. Rataan jumlah bakteri 21,9 x 10³ ± 2.2 x 10³ sel/ml. Rataan CMT 1,55 ± 0,50. Rataan pH 6,71 ± 0,051. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan disimpulkan bahwa penambahan daun Torbangun yang diproteksi tanin dari ekstrak batang pisang tidak mempengaruhi mastitis kambing PE, hal ini dapat dilihat pada nilai jumlah sel somatik,, jumlah bakteri, CMT dan pH susu kambing PE yang tidak berbeda jauh dengan kontrol. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of adding Torbangun (Coleus amboinicus lour) leaves protected by tannins from banana stem extract on mastysis of Etawah Peranakan (PE) goats. The study used 16 PE goats during the second and third lactation months. The study used a randomized block design, 4 treatments and 4 groups. The research treatments were P0 = forage + concentrate, P1 = P0 + 0.5% Torbangun leaf protected by tannin from banana stem extract, P2 = P0 + 1% Torbangun leaf protected by tannin from banana stem extract, P3 = P0 + 1.5 % Torbangun leaf protected by tannins from banana stem extract. The variables observed were SCC (Somatic Cell Count), bacterial count, CMT (California mastitis test) and pH. Data analysis using ANOVA if it has a significant effect, then continued with the Duncan multiple distance test. The results showed that the addition of tannin-protected Torbangun leaves from banana stem extract had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on the amount of SCC, the number of bacteria, CMT, and the pH of the milk. The mean SCC was 6.05 x 103 ± 0.96 x 103 cells / ml. The average number of bacteria was 21.9 x 10³ ± 2.2 x 10³ cells / ml. The average CMT was 1.55 ± 0.50. Average pH of 6.71 ± 0.051. From the results of the research that has been done, it is concluded that the addition of Torbangun leaves protected by tannins from banana stem extract does not affect PE goat mastitis, this can be seen in the value of somatic cell count, number of bacteria, CMT and pH of PE goat milk which did not differ much from the control.
