Abstract
The successfulness or not of developmental program in agriculture sector is for instance determined by the successfulness of farmers‟ society in allocating production factors appropriately so that it is got high production and profit. The research was carried out in Kayu Aro District Kabupaten Kerinci Regency, Jambi in 2010. The objective of this research was to know the rate of economic efficiency from using production factors in potato production level with maximum profit. The research found that sampling farmers have generally worked in maximum, that was indicated with their high potato production. However, it statistically showed that production factors were used mostly inefficiently, it was indicated from relatively high efficiency index (more than one) for almost all variables. Economic efficiency of land was reached at size of 2,96 Ha, labour 247,36 men-day working, seed application on 834,62 kg, and pesticide application at 35,84 liter active substance with production of 3,818,942 kg per hectare.
