Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the diversity of Gastropoda in the Tabir River District Tabir Merangin District. Descriptive explorative research, as many as 3 stations. In August to September 2016. Gastropoda samples were taken from the catch at the time of the research on the Tabir River. Samples were taken at 3 stations with different characteristics, Gastropoda was washed and documented. The identification process is done by using Jetting book idetification key (1956), Djajasasmita (1999: 11-33), Marwoto and Isnaningsih (2012: 8) and Marwoto et al (2011: 9-16). The results of the research were 7 types of Gastropods from 3 families of Thiaridae, Ampullariidae and Viviparidae, namely Brotia costula, Melanoides tuberculata, Melanoides punctate, Pomacea canaliculata, Pila polita, Pila ampullacea and Filopaludina sumatrensis. Gastropoda catches were 215 individuals. Station I found 35 individuals, Station II found 70 individuals and Station III found 110 individuals. Type Brotia costula, Melanoides punctate, and Pomacea canaliculata most commonly found in Station II and Station III. Keywords: Gastropoda, Diversity, Tabir River, Merangin District.
