Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to measure the openness of local financial information in Jambi Province by focusing on three main stages (aspects) of local financial information, namely the aspects of planning, implementation, and reporting and accountability of the budget. This research was conducted in 11 local government websites in Jambi Province. The object of this research is the local financial information in the 2016-2018 period. The methodology research is quantitative descriptive method. This type of research data is quantitative data. The data source used in this study is secondary data. The data collection technique used was literature study and observation. The population of this research is all local government websites in Jambi Province. The sampling technique uses a non-probability sampling type. The data analysis technique used four criteria, namely availability, accessibility, timeliness, and frequency of disclosure on each indicator made by Huwae (2016). The results of the measurement are categorized in accordance with the provisions of the Open Budget Index (OBI). The results showed that the level of openness of financial information of all local governments in Jambi Province was at an insufficient level. Based on observations, it was found that most of the local governments are in the Scant or None category, while a few others are in the Minimal category. This shows that openness is not yet a priority for local governments in Jambi Province. This research is expected to be used as a basis for thought and input for local governments in increasing the openness of local financial information in Jambi Province.
