Abstract

ABSTRACT The results of research ability to understand the text content nonsastra class VII students B Yayasan SMP Pertiwi 1 Kota Jambi Lesson 2016/2017, as many as 27 students as the subject of research with five assessments namely the main idea to get a score of 276 with an average value of 10.22 pertained to the criteria capable , understand the contents of the scores obtained 742.5 with an average value of 27.5 pertained to the criteria capable, finding the problem of obtaining a score of 291 with an average value of 10.77 belonging to the criteria capable, comparison or contrast to score 262.5 with the value an average of 9.72 belonged to the criterion is quite capable, making the conclusion scored 516 with an average value of 19.11 pertained with criteria capable. Hasil penelitian kemampuan memahami isi teks nonsastra siswa kelas VII B Yayasan SMP Pertiwi 1 Kota Jambi Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017, sebanyak 27 siswa sebagai subjek penelitian dengan lima penilaian yakni ide pokok memperoleh skor 276 dengan nilai rata-rata 10,22 tergolong dengan kriteria mampu, memahami isi tersurat memperoleh skor 742,5 dengan nilai rata-rata 27,5 tergolong dengan kriteria mampu, menemukan permasalahan memperoleh skor 291 dengan nilai rata-rata 10,77 tergolong dengan kriteria mampu, perbandingan atau pertentangan memperoleh skor 262,5 dengan nilai rata-rata 9,72 tergolong dengan kriteria cukup mampu, membuat kesimpulan memperoleh skor 516 dengan nilai rata-rata 19,11 tergolong dengan kriteria mampu.
