Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan cairan rumen kerbau sebagai sumber enzim dalam ransum terhadap efisiensi penggunaan protein pada ayam broiler. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kandang percobaan ternak unggas Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Jambi dan Laboratorium Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Jambi pada tanggal 13 Juni 2020 - 10 Januari 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan 288 ekor DOC (unsexing) strain Cobb yang dipelihara selama 35 hari. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari R1 (ransum + 0% cairan rumen kerbau), R2 (ransum + 0.6% cairan rumen kerbau), R3 (ransum + 1.2% cairan rumen kerbau), R4 (ransum + 1.8 % cairan rumen kerbau), R5 (ransum + 2.4 % cairan rumen kerbau), R6 (ransum + 3.0 % cairan rumen kerbau). Peubah yang diamati adalah konsumsi protein, rasio efisiensi protein, dan retensi protein. Hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan analisis ragam (ANOVA) dan apabila berpengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa penambahan cairan rumen kerbau sebagai sumber enzim dalam ransum berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap konsumsi protein fase stater, berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap konsumsi protein fase finisher dan rasio efisiensi protein, dan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap retensi protein. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu penambahan cairan rumen kerbau pada taraf 1,2 % setara dengan 61,56 ml/kg sudah dapat meningkatkan rasio efisiensi protein, tetapi rasio efisiensi protein tertinggi dicapai pada penambahan cairan rumen kerbau pada taraf 2,4% setara dengan 123,12 ml/kg. This study aims to determine the effect of adding buffalo rumen fluid as a source of enzymes in the ration on the efficiency of protein use in broiler chickens. This research was conducted in the experimental poultry enclosure of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Jambi University and the Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Jambi University on June 13, 2020 - January 10, 2021. This study used 288 DOC (unsexing) Cobb strains that were kept for 35 days. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of R1 (ration + 0% buffalo rumen fluid), R2 (ration + 0.6% buffalo rumen fluid), R3 (ration + 1.2% buffalo rumen fluid), R4 (ration + 1.8% buffalo rumen fluid), R5 (ration + 1.8% buffalo rumen fluid). + 2.4% buffalo rumen fluid), R6 (ration + 3.0% buffalo rumen fluid). The observed variables were protein consumption, protein efficiency ratio, and protein retention. The results of the study were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and if it had a significant effect, it was continued with Duncan's test. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the addition of buffalo rumen fluid as a source of enzymes in the ration had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the consumption of starter phase protein, significantly (P<0.05) on the consumption of finisher phase protein and protein efficiency ratio, and had no significant effect (P>0.05) on protein retention. The conclusion of this study was that the addition of buffalo rumen fluid at a level of 1.2% equivalent to 61.56 ml/kg was able to increase the protein efficiency ratio, but the highest protein efficiency ratio was achieved at the addition of buffalo rumen fluid at a level of 2.4% equivalent to 123 ,12 ml/kg.
