Abstract
ABSTRAK – Biobriket adalah serbuk arang dan bahan perekat dicetak dengan bentuk dan ukuran tertentu melalui proses pengepresan yang dapat dijadikan untuk bahan bakar. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbandingan campuran cangkang biji karet dan kulit singkong terhadap mutu biobriket, dan untuk mendapatkan mutu biobriket terbaik. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan perbandingan komposisi campuran cangkang biji karet (CK) dan Kulit Singkong (KS) yaitu P1= 70%:30%, P2= 50%:50%, dan P3= 30%:70% dengan 6 kali ulangan. Hasil yang didapatkan bahwa pencampuran cangkang biji karet dan kulit singkong terhadap mutu biobriket nilai kalor, kadar air, kadar abu dan kadar zat terbang berpengaruh sangat nyata, dan perlakuan terbaik berdasarkan mutu biobriket dari pencampuran cangkang biji karet dan kulit singkong yaitu pada perlakuan 30%:70% dengan nilai kalor 5681 kal/g, kadar air 6,24%, kadar abu 5,33%,dan kadar zat terbang 13,28%. Kata Kunci: Biobriket, cangkang biji karet, kulit singkong ABSTRAK – Biobriquette are charcoal powder and adhesives mold with certain shapes and sizes through a pressing process that can be used as fuel. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the ratio of the mixture of rubber seed shells and cassava peels on the quality of biobriquettes, and to obtain the best quality of biobriquettes. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with a comparison of the composition of the rubber seed shell (CK) and cassava peel (KS) composition, namely P1 = 70%: 30%, P2 = 50%: 50%, and P3 = 30%: 70. % with 6 repetitions. The results obtained that the mixture of rubber seed shells and cassava peels on the quality of biobriquette, calorific value, moisture content, ash content and volatile matter content was very significant, and the best treatment based on the quality of biobriquette from mixture rubber seed shells and cassava peels was at treatment 30 %:70% with a calorific value of 5681 cal/g, 6.24% moisture content, 5.33% ash content, and 13.28% volatile matter content.
