Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan kalsium dan fosfor ayam Arab betina fase starter dengan sistem pemberian pakan bebas pilih dibawah kondisi tropik. Materi yang digunakan adalah 288 ekor ayam Arab betina. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan 1 ayam kontrol diberi satu pakan kontrol saja, Perlakuan 2 diberi pakan tinggi kalsium dan rendah fosfor (TKRF) dan pakan rendah kalsium dan tinggi fosfor (RKTF). Perlakuan 3 diberi pakan tinggi kalsium tinggi fosfor (TKTF), RKTF dan TKRF. Perlakuan 4 diberi pakan kontrol, TKTF, RKTF dan TKRF. Peubah yang diamati adalah konsumsi ransum, konsumsi kalsium dan fosfor, konsentrasi kalsium dan fosfor. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam (ANOVA) dan apabila berpengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap konsumsi ransum (P>0,05), berpengaruh nyata pada konsumsi kalsium dan fosfor (P<0,05), dan berpengaruh sangat nyata pada konsentrasi kalsium dan fosfor (P<0,01). Jumlah konsumsi ransum pada ayam bebas memilih sama dengan ayam kontrol sedangkan konsumsi kalsium dan fosfor lebih tinggi pada ayam bebas memilih dan kebutuhan Ca (1,11-1,26%) dan P (0,43-0,50%) ayam Arab betina lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kebutuhan Ca (1%) dan P (0,44-0,45%) yang digunakan dalam standar kebutuhan ayam brown hy-line. Calcium and phosphorus requirements of female Arabic chicken in the starter phase has been found in the literatures and still follow the NRC standard (1994). This study aimed to calculate the calcium and phosphorus requirements of female Arabic chicks in the starter phase with a chocie feeding system under tropical conditions. The material used was 288 female Arab chick’s. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications whit 18 birds each. Treatment 1 was given only one control feed as a control. Treatment 2 was fed high calcium and low phosphorus (HCLP) and low calcium and high phosphorus (LCHP). Treatment 3 was fed high calcium high phosphorus (HCHP), low calcium high phosphorus (LCHP) and high calcium low phosphorus (HCLP). Treatment 4 was given control feed, high calcium high phosphorus (HCHP), low calcium high phosphorus (LCHP) and high calcium low phosphorus (HCLP). The observed variables were ration consumption, calcium and phosphorus consumption, calcium and phosphorus concentrations. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and if it had a significant effect, it was continued with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment had no significant effect on ration consumption (P>0.05), had a significant effect on calcium and phosphorus consumption (P<0.05), and had a very significant effect on calcium and phosphorus concentrations (P<0.01 ). The amount of ration consumption in free-choice chickens was the same as in control chickens, while calcium and phosphorus consumption was higher in free-choice chickens and the need for Ca (1.11-1.26%) and P (0.43-0.50%) of Arab hens. higher than the requirements of Ca (1%) and P (0.44-0.45%) used in the standard requirements of brown hy-line chickens.
