Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manfaat dari penambahan tepung temulawak pada fase starter dalam ransum yang mengandung black garlic terhadap pertambahan bobot badan. Penelitian ini menggunakan 100 ekor day old chick (DOC) broiler yang berumur 2 hari yang berlangsung selama 28 hari, dan penggunan temulawak dalam ransum hanya diberikan pada fase starter yaitu selama 21 hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) deangan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari P0=100% Ransum komersil, P1=100% ransum komersil + 3% black garlic, dan P2= P1+1% temulawak, P3= P1+2% temulawak, dan P4=P1+3% temulawak. Peubah yang diamati dalam penelitian ini yaitu konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan , dan konversi ransum. Data yang di dapatkan dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam (ANOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penambahan temulawak dalam ransum yang mengandung black garlic selama periode starter berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05), terhadap pertambahan bobot badan, tetapi konsumsi ransum, dan konversi ransum tidak berpengaruh nyata ( P>0,05). Hasil uji duncan bahwa pertambahan bobot badan yang diberi perlakuan P1,P2 berbeda tidak nyata dengan P0 tetapi perlakuan P3,P4 (yang diberi perlakuan 2% dan 3% temulawak) nyata (P<0,05) meningkatkan pertambahan bobot badan. Disimpulkan bahwa black garlic dan temulawak dapat ditambahkan kedalam ransum sebanyak 3:1 pada periode starter. Kata Kunci: bawang hitam, temulawak, broiler, pertumbuhan Abstract This study aims to determine the benefits of adding temulawak flour in the starter phase into the rations containing black garlic on body weight gain. This study used 100 day old chick broilers and kept for 28 days, temulawak was mixed into rations during starter phase. This study used a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were P0 = 100% commercial ration, P1 = P0 + 3% black garlic, and P2 = P1 + 1% temulawak, P3 = P1 + 2% temulawak, and P4 = P1 + 3% temulawak. The measured variables were feed consumption, body weight gain, and feed conversion ratio. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance. Results showed that addition temulawak into the ration containing black garlic during starter period had a significant effect (P <0.05) on body weight gain, but not on feed consumption and feed conversion ratio. Duncan test showed that body weight gain treated with P1, P2 was not significantly different from P0 but the P3, P4 treatments (which were given 2% and 3% temulawak) significantly increased body weight gain. It was concluded that black garlic and temulawak can be added to the ration 3: 1 in starter period.  Keywords: black garlic, temulawak, broiler, growth
