Abstract
Biosekuriti merupakan tindakan pertahanan pertama dalam pengendalian wabah penyakit untuk mencegah terjadinya penularan dan penyebaran penyakit baik dari luar ataupun dari dalam. Tujuan penulisan Karya Tulis Ilmiah (KTI) ini adalah untuk mengetahui cara penerapan biosekuriti di BPTU-HPT sembawa. Metode kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam penerapan biosekuriti di BPTU-HPT Sembawa, dengan teknik pengamatan langsung serta melakukan wawancara dan diskusi dengan petugas kesehatan hewan. Hasil kegitan pelaksanaan penerapan biosekuriti di BPTU-HPT Sembawa yang dilakukan yaitu tindakan pengendalian lalulintas dilakukan terhadap kendaraan yang keluar masuk harus melawati bak dipping desinfektan menggunakan obat Rodalon® memiliki tingkat konsentrasi obat 0,15%. Tindakan sanitasi kandang meliputi membersihkan kandang, dan penyemprotan kandang mengunakan obat Benzaklin® memiliki tingkat konsentrasi obat 0,6%. Tindakan pemberantasan ektoparasit yang dilakukan dengan cara penyemprotan ternak yang digembalakan dua minggu sekali menggunakan obat Cipergen® memiliki tingkat konsentrasi obat 0,2%. Tindakan fumigasi yang dilakukan dengan cara pengasapan (Fogging) terhadap hama pengganggu menggunakan obat Virukill® memiliki tingkat konsentrasi obat 1%. Malation® memiliki tingkat konsentrasi obat 6%. Huvet® memiliki tingkat konsentrasi obat 5%. Penerapan biosekuriti di BPTU-HPT Sembawa dalam menjaga kesehatan ternak, manusia dan linkungan BPTU-HPT Sembawa, agar terbebas dari ancaman penyakit, sudah dilakukan dengan cukup baik dan sesuai dengan standar yang ditentukan. Biosecurity is the first line of defense in controlling disease outbreaks to prevent transmission and spread of disease both from outside and from within. The purpose of writing this Scientific Paper (KTI) is to find out how to apply biosecurity at BPTU-HPT Sembawa. The method of activities carried out in the application of biosecurity at BPTU-HPT Sembawa, with direct observation techniques as well as conducting interviews and discussions with animal health officers. The results of the implementation of biosecurity implementation activities at BPTU-HPT Sembawa that were carried out were traffic control measures carried out on vehicles that went in and out had to pass through the disinfectant dipping tub using Rodalon® drug which had a drug concentration level of 0.15%. Sanitation measures include cleaning the cage, and spraying the cage using the drug Benzaklin® which has a drug concentration level of 0.6%. The eradication of ectoparasites was carried out by spraying grazed cattle every two weeks using Cipergen® drug which had a drug concentration level of 0.2%. Fumigation action which is carried out by means of fogging against pests using Virukill® drug has a drug concentration level of 1%. Malation® has a drug concentration rate of 6%. Huvet® has a drug concentration rate of 5%. The application of biosecurity at BPTU-HPT Sembawa in maintaining the health of livestock, humans and the environment at BPTU-HPT Sembawa, in order to be free from the threat of disease, has been carried out quite well and in accordance with the specified standards.
