Abstract

The research aimed to discover vocabulary Geomatics learning strategies used by the Geomatics primary students at Vocational High School 3 in Kota Jambi. The research was designed as qualitative method. The participant were third-grade Geomatics significant students. The data was collected through interview. Instrument were interview to collect the data. The result of the research showed that the students applied the five group of vocabulary learning strategies. However the overall strategies indicated used by the students in learning Geomatics vocabulary, yet determining strategies as the most strategies used by the students and metacognitive strategies as the least strategies applied by the students. It can be concluded that the students of Geomatics major are preferred to learn and deal with new words individually to ask people's helpa
