Abstract

Kerinci Regency and Sungai Penuh City are one of the areas that are prone to tectonic earthquakes in Jambi Province. Mitigation measures need to be taken to minimize damage and losses after tectonic earthquakes. Mitigation is carried out by mapping areas that are prone to tectonic earthquakes. Mapping can be done by applying several methods including seismicity analysis and probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA). The results of this study indicate that Kerinci and Sungai Penuh districts have PGA values with a value range of 0.2 - 0.9 g, SA (T = 1 second) with a value range of 0.2 - 0.8 g, SA (T = 2 seconds) with a value range of 0.5 – 0.2 g where the value is classified as relatively medium – high. The implications of the PGA and SA values which are classified as relatively medium – high produce areas that are prone to earthquake disasters, namely areas close to the Semangko Fault segmentation. These areas include Gunung Kerinci, Danau Kerinci, Sitinjau Laut, Air Hangat and Sungai Penuh.
