Abstract
ABSTRAK Industri kecil mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting dan banyak memberikan manfaat dalam pengembangan ekonomi daerah.kegiatan menenun sebagai salah satu industry kecil rumah tangga yang memunculkan kelompok usaha mikro kecil dan menengah dikalangan masyarakat Kota Jambi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk : 1) Mengetahui karakteristik tenaga kerja rumah tenun di Kota Jambi. 2) Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi produktivitas tenaga kerja rumah tenun di Kota Jambi.. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini dirancang dengan penelitian data primer dan sekunder. Sumber data primer diperoleh dari responden melalui wawancara langsung dengan kusioner yang ditanyakan kepada responden, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari instansi terkait yaitu Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Jambi. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan formulasi regresi liniear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik pengrajin tenun yang menjadi responden menurut pendidikan terakhir rarta-rata yaitu tamatan SMA, usia rata-rata pengrajin yaitu 22 tahun, upah pengrajin rata-rata sebesar Rp 1.200.000 per bulan, rata-rata lamanya jam kerja yaitu 7 jam per hari, pengalaman kerja pengrajin rata-rata adalah sudah pernah bekerja. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel upah, usia dan jam kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas tenaga kerja rumah tenun di Kota Jambi. Sedangkan, pendidikan, dan pengalaman kerja, tidak signifikan terhadap produktivitas tenaga kerja rumah tenun di Kota Jambi. Kata kunci : Tenaga kerja, Produktivitas, Rumah Tenun, Songket, Industri Kecil. vii ABSTRACT Small industry has a very important role and provides benefits in regional economic development. Activities as one of the small home industries that gave rise to groups of micro, small and medium enterprises among the people of Jambi City. The purposes of this study were to: 1) Determine the characteristics of the weaving house workforce in Jambi City. 2) To find out what factors affect the productivity of weaving house workers in Jambi City. To achieve this goal, this study was designed with primary and secondary data research. Primary data sources were obtained from respondents through direct interviews with questionnaires developed for respondents, while secondary data were obtained from related agencies, namely the Central Statistics Agency of Jambi City. The analytical method used is descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative. This research uses multiple linear regression formulation. The results showed that the characteristics of the weaving craftsmen who became the respondents according to the last education average were high school graduates, the average age of the craftsmen was 22 years, the average wages of craftsmen were Rp. 1,200,000 per month, the average working hours was 7 hours per day, the average craftsman's work experience is already working. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the variables of wages, age and working hours have a significant effect on the productivity of weaving house workers in Jambi City. Meanwhile, education, and work experience, are not significant to the productivity of weaving house workers in Jambi City. Keywords: Labor, Productivity, Weaving House, Songket, Small Industry.
