Abstract
The purposes of this research are to find out the students’ stress in learning English in English Study Program and to investigate the factors make the students’ stress in learning English in English Study Program. In collecting the data, the researcher used questionnaire which consisted of 15 questions and interview which consisted of 18 questions. The participants of this research were 2 female and 2 male students of English Study Program in Jambi University who have passed the fourth semester and get GPA less than 3.00. In conclusion, the finding showed that the students’ stress in learning English is because of English it self, so this make the students feel worry about attending the class, worry when the lecturer called their names in the class during the learning process. Then, the factors that causes the students’ stress in learning English is the situation and condition around where it can come from the lecturer, friends, subject, activities at class.
