Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun perepat terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri penyebab jerawat Propionibacterium acnes dan untuk melihat ketepatan kinerja mahasiswa dalam menskrining fitokimia ekstrak daun perepat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen deskriptif, rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan terdiri dari kontrol Clindamycin 2% (P0), ekstrak daun perepat konsentrasi 25% (P1), 50% (P2), 75% (P3), dan 100% (P4) dengan 5 kali ulangan. Data diameter zona hambat yang diperoleh akan dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan apabila terdapat pengaruh akibat perlakuan maka dilanjutkan dengan uji DNMRT pada taraf kepercayaan 5%. Sedangkan untuk data yang diperoleh dari angket ketepatan kinerja skrining fitokimia akan dianalisis secara dekriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian bahwa ekstrak daun perepat berpengaruh dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri penyebab jerawat dan menunjukkan tidak berbeda nyata menurut uji DNMRT. Untuk hasil uji skrining fitokimia didapatkan hasil positif untuk senyawa Alkoloid, Flavonoid, Saponin, Triterpenoid dan Steroid. Sedangkan untuk hasil yang diperoleh dari angket ketepatan kinerja menunjukkan sangat tepat mahasiswa melakukan skrining senyawa fitokimia dari ekstrak daun perepat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapatnya pengaruh dari pemberian ekstrak daun perepat terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Propionibacterium acnes dan dapat melihat ketepatan kinerja mahasiswa dalam menskrining senyawa fitokimia. This study aims to determine the effect of the extract of the perepat leaf on the growth of the acne-causing bacteria Propionibacterium acnes and to see the accuracy of the performance of the students in the phytochemical screening of the extract of the perepat leaf. This study is a descriptive experimental study, the research design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments consisting of 2% Clindamycin control (P0), 25% (P1), 50% (P2), 75% (P0) concentration of perepat leaf extract. P3), and 100% (P4) with 5 replications. The inhibition zone diameter data obtained will be analyzed using ANOVA and if there is an effect due to treatment, then it is continued with the DNMRT test at a 5% confidence level. Meanwhile, the data obtained from the questionnaire on the accuracy of the phytochemical screening performance will be analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The results showed that the extract of perepat leaf had an effect on inhibiting the growth of acne-causing bacteria and showed no significant difference according to the DNMRT test. The results of the phytochemical screening test showed positive results for Alkoloid, Flavonoid, Saponin, Triterpenoid and Steroid compounds. Meanwhile, the results obtained from the performance accuracy questionnaire showed that it was very appropriate for students to screen phytochemical compounds from the perepat leaf extract. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of giving perepat leaf extract on the growth of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria and can see the accuracy of student performance in screening phytochemical compounds.
