E-Learning is one of technologies that has function as a support system for conventional learning methods. E-learning can offer one of the most effective teaching methods, such as practicing with related feedback, personalizing learning pathways based on student needs, combining collaborative activities with independent learning, and using simulations and games. However, not all students are familiar with the E-Learning system in everyday learning, so it takes time to adapt. For this reason, in this study, researchers was investigated the current crucial educational problems, that is how are students' perceptions and motivatons of English E-Learning during the Covid-19 pandemic with using quantitative research methods. The population of this study were 8th grade students at SMP N 11 Jambi City and took a sample of 103 students from three classes. This study used 15 google form questionnaire to collect the data, the link was distributed through WhatsApp group of eighth graders at SMP Negeri 11 Kota Jambi. The results showed that students' perceptions of E- Learning were positive because students felt that using E-Learning during a pandemic could save transportation costs and students could study anywhere. However, the researcher also found problems faced by students with English E- Learning which were inadequate internet access and technology, as well as the lack of interaction between students and teachers and students and other students.
