Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan daun mangkokan (Nothopanax scutellarium Merr) dalam ransum terhadap produksi susu kambing Peranakan Etawah. Penelitian menggunakan 12 ekor kambing Peranakan Etawah laktasi dengan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) yaitu 3 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok produksi susu. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu P0 = 70% hijauan + 30% konsentrat, P1 = P0 + 20 gram daun mangkokan, dan P2 = P0 + 40 gram daun mangkokan. Parameter yang diamati adalah konsumsi bahan kering ransum, produksi susu, dan efisiensi produksi susu. Analisis data menggunakan analisis ragam, jika berpengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian daun mangkokan dalam ransum tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi bahan kering ransum dengan rata-rata 1659,42 g/ekor/hari, berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap produksi susu dengan rata-rata 159,02 g/ekor/8 jam, dan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap efisiensi produksi susu dengan rata-rata 9,66%. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian daun mangkokan pada ransum ternak kambing peranakan etawah tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap konsumsi bahan kering ransum, produksi susu, dan efisiensi produksi susu. ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to determine the effect of using the leaves of the Mangkokan (Nothopanax scutellarium Merr) in the diet on the milk production of Etawah Peranakan goats. The study used 12 lactating Etawah Crossbreed goats with a randomized block design (RAK) with 3 treatments and 4 milk production groups. The treatments used were P0 = 70% forage + 30% concentrate, P1 = P0 + 20 grams of kukukan leaves, and P2 = P0 + 40 grams of kukukan leaves. Parameters observed were dry matter consumption of ration, milk production, and efficiency of milk production. Data analysis used analysis of variance, if it had a significant effect, it was continued with Duncan's multiple distance test. The results showed that the provision of Mangkokan leaves in the ration had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the dry matter consumption of the ration with an average of 1659.42 g/head/day, no significant effect (P>0.05) on milk production with an average of 159.02 g/head/8 hours, and had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the efficiency of milk production with an average of 9.66%. From the results of the study, it was found that the offering of kukukan leaves to the diet of etawah breeds did not affect the dry matter consumption of the ration, milk production, and milk production efficiency.
