Abstract

Diversity of Ant (Hymenoptera:Formicidae) in Block Peatland of The Protected Londerang Forest After Fire Oleh: A Chalik Aziz1), Bambang Hariyadi2), Winda Dwi Kartika2) 1)Mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi Jurusan PMIPA FKIP Universitas Jambi 2)Dosen Pendidikan Biologi Jurusan PMIPA FKIP Universitas Jambi Email: 1)a.chalikaziz1@gmail.com ABSTRAK Ant is invertebrate animals that belong to the insect and the includingthe family Formicidae. Ant can be used as bioindicators of ecosystem. Ant act as decomposer in the food chain. The most frequent burning of ecosystem is the peatland ecosystem. The puspose of this research is to know the diversity of ant (Hymenoptera:Formicidae) in Block Peatland of The Protected Londerang Forest After Fire. The method which was used in this research is descriptive quantitative by determining the location with purposive sampling. Sampling was using pitfall-trap, bait-trap and hand collecting. This research on January-April 2017. Then, continue with the proceed to the identify the type of ants in the Laboratory of biotechnology and engineering of FST at Jambi University. The total number of successful ants collected amounted to 1600 individuals. The results of the identification obtained 18 types of ants namely Dolichoderus sp, Tapinoma sp, Anoplolepis gracilipes, Anoplolepis sp, Componotus sp, Componotus obscuripes, Nylanderia sp, Paratrechina flavipes, Paratrechina sakurae, Paratrechina sp, Cardiocondyla sp1, Cardiocondyla sp2, Pheidole batrachorum, Pheidole darwini, Pheidole heliosa, Odontomachus bauri, Tetraponera sp1, dan Tetraponera sp2 belonging of 5 subfamily (Dolichoderinae, Formicinae, Myrmicinae, Ponerinae, dan Pseudomyrmicinae).
