Abstract
ABSTRACT BACKGROUND : The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all aspects of life, including education. Government decided to carry out the online learning process, this indirectly requires students to adapt to the new learning system. In dealing with the new learning system, students are expected to be able to do self-regulated learning so that students can succeed in the academic Adjustment during the Covid-19 period. OBJECTIVES : This study aims to determine the relationship between self-regulated learning in the academic adjustment of new students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Jambi University intake 2020/2021 during online learning in the Covid-19 period. METHODS: This research was quantitative research using the correlation method. The population in the study are the new students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Jambi University intake 2020/2021 with a total of 243 research subjects obtained by purposive sampling technique. Data was collected online using Google Forms. RESULTS : The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between the two variables of Self Regulated Learning and Academic Adjustment during online learning for new students, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.705 and p of 0.000 (p <0.05). CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTIONS : Self-Regulated Learning was a good strategy in achieving learning success, problem-solving, and academic success in students.
