Abstract
ABSTRACT Fajrizkallah, Fiqhi. (2021). Students’ Perception on the Use of the Google Classroom Application as an Online Learning Tool. Thesis. English study program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Jambi University in academic year 2021/2022. First Supervisor is Robi Soma, S.Pd., M.Pd. and the second super visor is Tubagus Zam Zam Al Arif, S.Pd.aM.Pd. Key word: Perception, Google Classroom, Online Learning. Online learning is a learning media that is widely applied by teachers and students during the pandemic. Google Classroom is one of the online learning media tools that applied. The purpose of this research is to identify the students’ perception on the use of the Google Classroom application as an online learning tool in English classes. Descriptive quantitative was applied in conducting the research. Respondents in this study were 72 students. The data of this research was elicited by distributing questionnaires via Google form to students. The study was analyzed by using SPSS and Microsoft Excel. The result showed Google Classroom can be one of the online learning tools that can be used for teachers to facilitate the process of sending materials and assignments. Google Classroom provides advantages and disadvantages impacts for students in the learning process, students feel more comfortable with the application and had some of obstacles.
