Abstract
ABSTRACT Background: Immunization is a preventive effort which made to increase or raise the body's defense system against diseases experienced by a person. The existence of the COVID-19 pandemic that has shocked almost all of the world is predicted to be able to affect the number of routine immunization coverage that is commonly used to prevent disease in many children.This research was conducted to determine the coverage of basic immunization services and the profile of basic immunization patients during the COVID-19 pandemic at Puskesmas Pakuan Baru Kota Jambi. Methods: A descriptive study with retrospective review and using cross-sectional design on 4132 samples that chosen by total sampling at Puskesmas Pakuan Baru Kota Jambi. This study used secondary data obtained from the immunization visit registration book. Results: The coverage of immunization services for infants aged 0-11 months at the Puskesmas Pakuan Baru Kota Jambi during the COVID-19 pandemic decreased by 37.8% in 2020 compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic period. The immunization services for the January – December 2019 period at Puskesmas Pakuan Baru Kota Jambi is almost evenly distributed with the distribution difference between the highest visit and the lowest visit month being 4.9%, On January - December 2020 there is a t decrease with a difference of 9.7%. Conclusion: The coverage of immunization services for infants aged 0-11 months at Puskesmas Pakuan Baru Kota Jambi during the COVID-19 pandemic was lower than before the COVID-19 pandemic.
