Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) mengetahui gambaran umum usahatani pinang di Kecamatan Muara Sabak Timur dan 2) menganalisis kelayakan finansial usahatani pinang di Kecamatan Muara Sabak Timur. Pemilihan lokasi dilakukan secara sengaja (Purposive) dengan pertimbangan bahwa Kecamatan Muara Sabak Timur merupakan salah satu sentra pinang di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Jumlah petani sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 41 orang. Hasil dari analisis kelayakan finansial yang didapatkan usahatani pinang layak untuk diusahakan dengan nilai B/C sebesar 8,08 dimana nilai B/C lebih dari 1, Nilai NPV usahatani pinang sebesar Rp.109.397.956,69 dimana nilai NPV lebih dari 0, Nilai IRR usahatani pinang sebesar 15,41% dimana nilai IRR diatas nilai bunga bank yang berlaku yaitu 9,15% dan Payback Period usahatani pinang selama 12 Tahun 6 Bulan 2 Hari dimana dibawah umur ekonomis usahatani pinang yakni 25 tahun. Kata kunci : B/C Ratio, NPV, IRR, Payback Period This study aims to: 1) find out the general description of areca nut farming in Muara Sabak Timur District and 2) analyze the financial feasibility of areca nut farming in Muara Sabak Timur District. The location selection was done purposively with the consideration that Muara Sabak Timur District is one of the betel nut centers in Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. The data analysis method used is quantitative descriptive analysis. The number of sample farmers in this study was 41 people. The results of the financial feasibility analysis obtained that areca nut farming is feasible to be cultivated with a B/C value of 8.08 where the B/C value is more than 1, the NPV value of areca nut farming is Rp. 109.397.956.69 where the NPV value is more than 0, the value The IRR of areca nut farming is 15.41% where the IRR value is above the applicable bank interest rate of 9.15% and the payback period of areca nut farming is 12 years 6 months 2 days which is below the economic age of areca farming, which is 25 years.
