Abstract
Abstrak Kesehatan ternak adalah suatu keadaan atau kondisi dimana tubuh hewan dengan seluruh sel yang menyusun dan cairan tubuh yang dikandungnya secara fisiologis berfungsi normal. Pelaksanaan manajemen kesehatan ternak di Dinas Tanaman Pangan Holtikultura Peternakan Provinsi Jambi meliputi pemeriksaan kesehatan ternak dan pencegahan penyakit. Pemeriksaan ternak yang diduga sakit adalah suatu proses untuk menentukan dan mengamati perubahan yang terjadi pada ternak melalui tanda-tanda atau gejala-gejala yang nampak sehingga dapat diambil suatu kesimpulan dan suatu penyakit dapat diketahui penyebabnya.Program pencegahan penyakit yang dilaksanakan adalah sanitasi dan penguatan daya tahan tubuh. Sanitasi meliputi sanitasi kandang dan sanitasi ternak, danpenguatan daya tahan tubuh meliputi vaksinasi, pemberian vitamin, dan pemberian pakan. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan dan indikator tingkat kejadian penyakit dan kematian yang 0%, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan manajemen kesehatan hewan di Dinas Tanaman Pangan Holtikultura dan Peternakan Provinsi Jambi sudah cukup baik. Sanitation includes cage sanitation and sanitation livestock, and strengthening the immune system includes vaccination, giving vitamins, and feeding. Based on the results of implementation and indicators of the incidence of disease and 0% mortality, it can be concluded that the implementation of management animal health at the Department of Food Crops, Horticulture and Livestock, Jambi Province good enough.
