Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) mengetahui gambaran usahatani karet dan usahatani kelapa sawit dan (2) menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesejahteraan petani karet dan petani kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Penerokan dan Desa Batin dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 64 petani karet dan di Desa Bungku sebanyak 52 petani kelapa sawit. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi, konsep pendapatan usahatani, pengeluaran rumah tangga petani dan regresi logistik biner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) perbedaan pada kedua usahatani yaitu dari penggunaan faktor produksi dan umur tanaman, dengan keadaan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan petani karet lebih tinggi dibandingkan petani kelapa sawit. (2) faktor harga, luas lahan, jumlah tanggungan keluarga, dan umur petani berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan petani karet dan kesejahteraan petani kelapa sawit. ABSTRACT This research aims to: (1) find out the general description of rubber farming and palm oil farming and (2) analyze the factors that affect to welfare of rubber farmers and palm oil farmers. This research was conducted in Penerokan Village and Batin Village with total sample of 64 rubber farmers and in Bungku Village with total sample of 52 palm oil farmers. Data analysis methods used in this research include the concept of farm income, household consumption of farmer and binary logistic regression. The results of this research showed that (1) there are differences between the two farms were from the use of production factors and plant age, with the condition that the income and welfare of rubber farmers is higher than that of palm oil farmers. (2) the factor of rubber price, land area, number of family dependents, and age of the farmer have a significant effect on the welfare of rubber farmers and the welfare of palm oil farmers.
