Abstract
PENGARUH PEMBERIAN SUPLEMENTASI ASAM LEMAK OMEGA-3 TERHADAP INTENSITAS BIRAHI TERNAK KERBAU Boike pardo (E10013112) di bawah bimbingan: Dr.Bayu Rosadi,S.Pt. M,Si(1) dan Dr.Ir.Yurleni,M,Si(2) Program Studi Peternakan Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Jambi Email:pardoboike12@gmail.com ABSTRAK This research was conducted at the farms of Pijoan sub-district, Jambi sub-district, Muaro Jambi district, and the Jambi University Faculty of Animal Husbandry Laboratory. This study aims to determine the effect of omega-3 supplementation on the intensity of lust and see the intensity of lust in buffalo livestock where the buffalo cattle often occur (silent heat) lust is not visible. This research uses 6 female buffalo cattle. The design used was a randomized block design (RAK) with 2 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment was given P0 (silage of palm stem 60% + natural grass 40%) and P1 (silage of 60% + natural grass 40% + 3000 mg commercial fish oil). The variables observed histologic overview of vagina (vagina smear), and observation of the intensity of lust in buffaloes. The description of the vagina at the time of buffalo cattle showed the same pattern of images between two treatments ie superficial cells / kornifikasi more / dominant show the livestock is experiencing phase lust. In the observation of the intensity of lust between livestock supplemented with omega-3 and without omega-3 supplementation showed an unstable influence (P> 0.05) on vulva changes and behavioral changes between livestock.
